Their food is delicious and very authentic. We love getting their tacos. The cabeza (beef cheek) is super tender and lengua (tongue) tacos is our favorite. We have had other dishes here too such as their flautas, burritos and chile verde plate and all of it was amazing. We love this place.

I've passed by this place many times, but today I decided to stop in and try the food. Let me tell you, I was not at all disappointed! I went with the chile verde, which was delicious and came with generous portions of perfectly cooked rice and refried beans. You also get a choice of salsas that truly remind you of home with their flavor. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in town!

Best Mexican food in Iowa City. The meat choices set it apart from the rest of the field. Try the beef cheek tacos. Tasty sauces at the table but no complementary chips and salsa. Not the largest portion sizes if you’re looking for an ultra feast but the authentic quality of food makes it an outstanding choice.

Very fast service! The food was really good, and I was very happy that they sold goat meat as an option for a meat. Everything was delicious. We dined in, and it took maybe 15 minutes max to get our food, from our appetizer order to our main food. Will definitely be back, and I definitely recommend.

We visited for lunch and had a great experience. We were in and seated in seconds during lunch. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. We tried the jalapeno taco, carnitas, and al pastor. They also had a variety of sauces on the table with varying degrees of heat.
